In Search of Former Residents

"That so many thousands of children around the world are available for adoption is a sign of our impoverished humanity. That so many people around the world open their hearts and homes each year to embrace a few of these children is a lasting testimony to humanity's enduring nobility." - Deborah A. Beasley, "Successful Foster Care Adoption"

The role of Palmetto Place Children's Shelter is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for abused and neglected children and unaccompanied or homeless teenagers. Palmetto Place has opened its doors to more than 7,000 kids since 1977, and has come to know many faces.

However, Palmetto Place is a temporary home for these children.  Many move on to bigger and more exciting adventures. Just this year, Palmetto Place had five of ourteens graduate high school. We are so excited to watch them take their next step in life.

We are searching for former Palmetto Place residents. We are interested in your story, and helping you reconnect with our staff members and anyone who helped you on your road to success. If you are a former resident, please reach out to us. We would love to hear your story.
