Palmetto Place International Food Festival

The Palmetto Place Children’s Emergency Shelter will hold its International Food Festival on Friday, May 21, 2010, from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Held annually, this event, formerly known as the Dessert Competition, will feature music, silent auction, open bar, and culinary delights from countries around the world like Mexico, Italy, France, China, and the United States that will be prepared by chefs who are members of the American Culinary Federation.

Travinia Open Golf Tournament
October 18 -19, 2009
The 5th Annual Travinia Open was held October
18-19, 2009. Organized by the
Travinia Italian Kitchen staff, community volunteers, and the staff and Board
of Directors of Palmetto Place, this two-day event kicked off with a
pre-tournament dinner and silent auction featuring the Back 9 band on
Sunday, October 18th
at the Travinia Italian Kitchen (Sparkleberry Road Location) and culminated
with the golf tournament on Monday, October 19th at the Wildewood
Country Club.
Because of the commitment and dedication of all of those
involved, over $45,000 was raised to help fund a variety of Palmetto Place's
projects, including providing day-to-day care, clothing
and personal care items, and access to a variety of recreational and social
activities.
Palmetto Place is forever grateful to the willingness of the
32 teams and numerous volunteers involved in this event to give freely of their
valuable time and money. It is because of this incredible gesture that the
lives of many children will be improved.
